Description
Veggie Crunchy Munchies 🥕🫑
This one is for the veggie lovers! It’s also great to introduce veggies to picky birds. Like our other #1 mixes, this mix has a base of crunchy puffed grains that are irresistible to parrots. They are 100% whole grains with nothing else added, they’re organic and non-GMO. Then we add a variety of naturally dried vegetables and tasting seasonings.
Mix can be served as is, or it can be used as a tempting topping or add in for your fresh food meals. It’s also a great foraging mix or addition to birdie bread.
All mixes are premium quality, human grade ingredients. All natural, never any added preservatives, chemical additives or sweeteners. Organic ingredients are used when available.
Ingredients: *Puffed kamut, *puffed millet, *roasted chickpeas, dried peas, dried kale dried carrots, dried sweet potato, dried zucchini, dried green beans, dried broccoli, dried cauliflower, dried green bell pepper, dried red bell pepper, hot chili pepper flakes. *organic
(quart sized bag, 4 cups)

Getting my picky African Grey to eat his veggies has been a challenge so I try many different ways. He prefers drier crunchy food so this was definitely worth a try. I added some of this mix to his dry forage mix (with extra dried kale and veggies) and he has a messy beak! He drank water then back to his dish and now has bits on his beak because he is digging in and foraging. Makes my mama bird heart happy!

My parrots enjoy this mix added in to their fresh veggies and fruits. They very much enjoy it as a snack and it definitely enriches their variety.
I wish it had more veggies and less of the puffed grains because there are about 3/4 grains to 1/4 veggies, etc ratio which I was surprised by. Adding in more veggies and less puffed grains would make the cost more reasonable. Thank you.

Hi Elsa, I appreciate your feedback. This is one of the newer mixes that I’ve actually had some challenges with. The human grade dried veggies are expensive and it’s been difficult to find a cost effective way to make this mix affordable to do. Most of them are chopped super fine as well so it makes it seem like there’s not much added to the mix. I’m still trying to work on this one. Again, I appreciate the feedback.
